SAIPAC Fish Farms given the go ahead

  Australian company Barramundi Blue Aquaculture (International)  the Design Technology suppliers  and Project Managers for  SAIPAC  Fish   Farms Ltd. Vietnam have been  given the green light by  Vietnamese Department of Fisheries for the  immediate start on the first 2000 ton   Saipac fish farm in Vung Tau province, including a world standard multi species hatchery.

  Ms Minh Trang Co owner and Director USPC  who is the main stake holder is this new venture has confirmed  today that   all relevant permits and   approvals have now been issued.

  “Under  BBAI Design and  project management construction  of the access roads and site civil works  will commence next Tuesday and the farm    is expected to be operational by late November, with provision now also in place   to allow for future expansion in Vietnam to 5000ton production    should the market require  within 3 years" noted Ms Trang

  “SAIPAC Fish Farms Ltd  have also received approval to install a  state of the art Fish Feed pellet manufacturing facility on site in Vung Tau using    high grade fish waste from USPC  processing factories. Ms Trang said.

   “This will give Saipac fish farms  the highest of quality and nutritional  feed supply , plus a product that will be in line for future Organic     certification,  USPC/SAIPAC fish farms will now have a total  farm package,  from hatch to market and through  the quality of the RAS technology     by BBAI,  our fish will be far superior to that of any current or proposed caged operations, we will also not be subject to weather, climate or other     perils of caged aquaculture, plus our logistics,  2 hours from Ho Chi Minh city puts us  in the market for both live fish and chilled product sales on     top of processed fillets for the US and EU markets.”

   “Our products will very much sort after in the market place and our prices very competitive ” Ms Trang added.

    “USPC is know through out the world for the quality of it’s processed products, Australian barramundi  will be processed to the same HAAC      standards and QA” Ms Trang added

    “USPC through it’s international sales network will immediately expand it’s exports to North America as well as develop new  Australian and New     Zealand markets”.  Ms Trang said.

    USPC established for over 6 years is currently   is one of the largest exporters  in Vietnam in to the US and EU of Tuna and Sword Fish Steaks.

    USPC confirmed that  they would commence construction on  an additional processing plant at the end of 2007 as to be in a position to meet      production levels for the US and EU market demands.

    “ We have the experience we have the technology, this is our next logical step” noted Ms Trang

    Barramundi Blue Aquaculture (international)  has a current  Aquaculture JV operation under construction  in Jeju. South Korea  due  to     commence production at the end of June with markets already established in Japan an South Korea for Rock Bream.

    BBAI is said to be currently developing alliances in Lao, Malaysia, Thailand and Micronesia for similar sized operations.
